Engine Sensors & Actuators Diagnostic Course

Face to Face Automotive Diagnostic Course

Course Title: Engine Sensors & Actuators Diagnostic

Duration: 16 Hours (Two days)

Location: Clyde, Sydney, Australia

Course content:

In this very practical course, we cover everything for PETROL engine management system.

We explain each single sensor and actuator operation, we check and analyze the actual wiring diagram for each component, and we explain how to test the components using the following tools:

– Multimeters

– Scanners

– Oscilloscopes

– Pulse Generators

On this course, we spend a lot of time doing the practical activities on several cars, while using the diagrams and diagnostic tools.

Here are just a number of components that will be covered in this course:

– Mass airflow sensor

– Intake air temperature sensor

– Throttle body actuator and position sensors

– Accelerator pedal position sensors

– Manifold absolute pressure sensor

– All types of ignition coils (Coil pack, 2-wire coil-on-plug, 3-wire coil-on-plug and 4-wire coil-on-plug)

– Knock sensor

– Camshaft position sensor

– Crankshaft position sensor

– Variable valve timing solenoid valve

– Variable intake manifold solenoid

– Canister purge control solenoid valve

– Injectors (MPi & GDi)

– Fuel rail pressure sensor

– Fuel pressure regulator

– Coolant temp sensor

– Narrow band and wideband oxygen sensors

In this course you will practice a lot on scanners, oscilloscope, pulse generator and wiring diagrams to feel confident using them when diagnosing a car.
